Parker Youth Sports

Thank you for volunteering to coach a Parker Youth Sports (PYS) team!  Parker Youth Sports is successful thanks to parents like yourself volunteering their time and knowledge to the youth of Parker.

ALL coaches, assistant coaches and others directly involved in coaching your team are required to register with PYS.  To ensure that we have an updated list of coaches/assistant, beginning in August 2023, PYS will be requiring coaches/assistants to register every year and for each new season. 

Registration is a 3-step process:

• General Registration - Collects contact information that your team/players/league will need during the season and provides the PYS Sport Directors with insight into your coaching background. You will be notified after your registration has been reviewed and approved to coach for the Parker Hawks.  Please note that the Sport Director may contact you for additional information and an interview.
• Concussion Training/Certification - Colorado state law requires concussion education for all coaches who participate in organized athletic activities for youth.  See the Coaches Concussion Training and Certification page for additional information. (Required Annually) 
• Background Check - PYS requires all coaches and assistants to undergo a background check for your and our protection every 2 years.  Once you have been approved to coach, you will be provided with a special link to submit background check information.

NOTE: Parker Youth Sports recommends the CDC online concussion training for youth sports coaches, however, other resources (e.g., NFHS, CHSAA, etc) are acceptable provided they cover the key topic required by Colorado law.  For more information, go to the Guidance for the CDC training is provided by clicking the link below.

Once you have completed all 3 steps, you'll be ready to get things going with your team and start having fun being a youth sports coach!
